In 2016, Nawah Energy Company (Nawah), a subsidiary of the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) and Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO), undertook a comprehensive rebranding effort that encompassed the creation of new artworks.

Established with the mission to operate and maintain Units 1-4 of the Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant, Nawah plays a crucial role in the UAE's journey into nuclear energy.

Situated in the Al Dhafra Region, Abu Dhabi, the Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant is a groundbreaking initiative, marking the UAE's first foray into nuclear energy on both national and regional levels. As a responsible steward of nuclear power, Nawah prioritizes safety above all else, adhering to the highest global standards within the nuclear industry.

Nawah's vision extends beyond power generation; it strives to offer a secure, dependable, and eco-friendly source of low-carbon electricity. This commitment aligns seamlessly with the UAE's pursuit of sustainable development and socioeconomic growth, ensuring a prosperous future for the nation and its citizens.

Driven by its overarching priority of safety, Nawah's diligent operations are poised to yield a remarkable 5,600 megawatts of energy across the four units at Barakah. This substantial contribution equates to approximately 25% of the UAE's total electricity demands, emphasizing Nawah's pivotal role in shaping the country's energy landscape for generations to come.
